This is going to be short.... I hit a tree. I was skiing GAD 2 all morning. Wonderful, but heavy snow kept falling. Run after run of often big sections of fresh tracks. I must have run this lift 8+ times. Around 11am I had an amazing run, finding the path to a section I kept seeing riding the lift up. I was hungry but wow, having a great morning meant more runs. Then it happened.... Towards the top of the run, I saw some fresh snow. Little did I know the hardened tundra underneath threw me off balance and feet first into a good sized tree. I bounced off, lost one ski and grabbed it as I started to slide down the face. Planting my boot and ski best I could, I came to a stop. Moments later another skier was taken down not meters from me. We were both fine but dismayed. As I struggled to clear the snow from my boot and ski I realized that was a hit. I really tree contact I had never actually had. I struggled to connect turns down the mountain. Clearly I was shook up and knew it was a good time to call it a day....

I'll be back to make this right Snowbird! What I got to experience is worth coming back.
