Crushing Comfry leaves for fertilizer. High in nitrogen and carbon, Comfry leaves and stalks pressed for a month or so under a rock, with no water, will become a thick almost black slurry, use it 20 parts water to 1 part slurry for a balanced fertilizer. Don’t add water until you’re ready to use it. If you think you’re going to speed up the process by adding water to the crushed leaves, it will develop a horrible odor.
